Tuam Camogie is now officially Tuam Stars Camogie after fully amalgamating with Tuam Stars GAA Club.

A year-long negotiation process finally culminated in a unification that marks a significant moment for Gaelic games in the community. For years, both clubs have played a central role in sporting life in Tuam and surrounding areas.

By coming together under the 'One Club Model', they are creating an inclusive model that will benefit players of all ages. Shared facilities, and resources will ensure greater collaboration and equal opportunity sending a clear message that every player is valued and supported.

Derek Hayes, Chairperson of Tuam Stars Camogie, believes the move can be transformational.

"This step secures the future of camogie in Tuam and surrounding parishes guarantees our girls the same platform and support within one strong club structure," he said.

Chairperson of Tuam Stars, Paul Collins said that the amalgamation is a proud milestone for the Tuam community.

"This is about one club, one community," Collins said. "Bringing everyone together under the Tuam Stars name strengthens us both on and off the pitch and reflects the unity we want to see in our town."

The first Tuam Stars Camogie team to take to the field will be the U16s in an away match against Kinvara this Sunday.
