A number of Galway properties are set to go under the hammer later this month as part of a nationwide property auction hosted by O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers.
The live-stream auction, taking place on Friday, March 27 at 12 noon, will include 15 lots from across the country, with three Galway properties expected to attract particular interest from local buyers and investors.
Among them is a partially completed five bedroom detached residence at Killagoola, just outside Moycullen. Standing on a circa one-acre site and extending to approximately 305sq m, the property has an AMV of €320,000 and offers buyers the opportunity to complete the home to their own taste. The site also includes a partially constructed shed or workshop and is located within a short drive of Galway city.
Also included is No 98 Duirling, a three bedroom duplex in Roscam with an AMV of €260,000. Extending to around 104sq m, the property is likely to appeal to first-time buyers or investors, with nearby amenities including Galway Clinic, Merlin Park University Hospital and Atlantic Technological University.
The largest Galway lot in the auction is a major commercial investment at Blocks 4 and 9, Ballybrit Business Park, with an AMV of €1.95 million. The two detached office buildings extend to approximately 2,188sq m and generate a combined passing rent of about €267,000 per annum, reflecting a gross yield of around 13.6 per cent.
Located in Ballybrit Business Park, the offices sit within one of Galway’s key commercial hubs alongside major employers such as Boston Scientific and Johnson & Johnson.
Commenting ahead of the auction, Colm O'Donnellan said there had already been strong interest in the Galway properties. “Auctions continue to attract a wide range of buyers because the process is transparent and efficient, and we expect strong participation on the day,” he added.
