The first episode of the brand-new entertainment series ‘An Deis’ will air on TG4 on Sunday, 8 March at 7:30pm, with a repeat broadcast on Thursday, 12 March at 7:30pm.
The series will be presented by Eibhlín Ní Chonghaile. Originally from Casla in Conamara, Eibhlín is a journalist and broadcaster who began her career with Nuacht TG4. Since then, she has worked with TV3 News, Sky News Ireland, and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
In each episode, three teams of two compete against each other in a bid to take home the top prize, with up to €5,000 available to be won in every programme.
Throughout the series, contestants from across the country will take part, from the Donegal Gaeltacht to Cork City. ‘An Deis’ provides a platform for contestants to showcase strategy, general knowledge, and risk-taking as they strive to claim the jackpot. Appearing on the first episode are friends Colm Seoige & Cian Herbert from Ros a’ Mhíl,
The ten-part series is produced by Tyrone Productions for TG4 and is an original format created by Gavin Cox and the Welsh Production Company Slam Media.
