Ability West has officially launched an exciting new community fundraiser, offering supporters the chance to drive away in a brand-new Kia Picanto through its “Win a Kia Picanto” car draw campaign.
The initiative was unveiled at Croílár Day Service on the Tuam Road in Galway and broadcast live on the Galway Bay FM Ronan Lardner Show. The launch was proudly sponsored by Kinlay Hostel Galway.
Croílár was filled with music, celebration and community spirit as Leo Moran of The Saw Doctors joined staff, families and the people supported by Ability West for an afternoon of song and camaraderie. Broadcaster Ronan Lardner marked the occasion with interviews featuring CEO Julie Silke Daly, Board Chair Ray Kelly and newly appointed Advocacy Council Chair Joseph Faulkner, before closing with a warm conversation with Leo Moran.
Earlier in the week, John Farragher recorded a special interview, concluding the programme with a moving performance of his song, “The Robin.”
Tickets for the draw are available online at winakiapicanto.ie and will soon be on sale across Galway. Prices are €10 for one ticket, four for €25, or ten for €50. The Kia Picanto, supplied by Kia Renmore, is the top prize (no cash alternative ).
Additional prizes include €750 and €250 cash prizes sponsored by Castlelough Corporation Ltd., a two-night stay at the Clifden Station House Hotel, and a €500 home heating oil voucher from Sweeney Oil.
Funds raised will enhance respite services, expand summer supports for children with intellectual disabilities and autism, improve sensory equipment and gardens, and invest in assistive technology. Ability West is calling on the Galway community to buy tickets, share the campaign and help make a meaningful difference.
