Best of luck to Galway Community College’s U16 Boys Basketball team who are on their way to the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght this Thursday, January 8.
They will meet St Clonliffe’s of Dublin in the All-Ireland Cup Final (C division ). They secured their place in the final with wins over Moate CS, Glenamaddy CC and Sligo.
All the hours of training have paid off for the students, under the guidance of their coaches Michael O Flanagan and Ciaran McGrogan. GCC extends its thanks to management and staff of GCC for their continued support, and sponsors Podium4Sport who sponsored their gear bags for the final.
Following their cup final, GCC host Greystones and Middleton college in the U16 League Playoffs the week after. The future is bright for basketball in GCC.
