Toyota has once again finished as Ireland’s most popular car brand for the fifth consecutive year.
With a 13.5 per cent market share, Toyota has retained its number one position in the Irish passenger vehicle market for 2025.
In 2025, 97 per cent of all Toyota sales came from electrified models, with the Yaris Cross, RAV4 and Corolla featured among the top 10 best-selling cars of the year. Toyota also leads in 20 counties – including Galway – with a market share of over 17 per cent.
Toyota attributes this success to its dealer network’s focus on customer experience, and the brand’s commitment to “continuous improvement and its multipath approach to carbon neutrality”, a strategy Toyota says “recognises that different customers and driving needs require different low and zero-emission solutions”. As a result, 97 per cent of Toyota’s passenger range now delivers reduced or zero tailpipe emissions.
Going into 2026, Toyota is strengthening its electric offering with the upgraded fully-electric Toyota bZ, available in dealerships now from €42,160. This will be followed by the arrival of the Aygo X Hybrid in late January, and by the Toyota C-HR+ (EV ) and RAV4 Hybrid in March.
Toyota also has a wide range of offers available until January 31. These include competitive trade-in boosters of up to €2,500 and PCP finance options across the brand’s lineup.
“With the broadest range of low- and no-emission models on the market, and several new additions now available or arriving shortly, Toyota will continue leading the transition to cleaner, more efficient mobility through innovation, value and an unwavering commitment to a more sustainable future,” said Zoë Bradley, head of marketing communications and corporate affairs in Toyota Ireland.
