Jewellery brand Dylan Oaks raises over €53,000 for breast cancer research

Working in conjunction with milliner and fashion blogger, Jennifer Wrynne, Irish jewellery house, Dylan Oaks launched a specially designed ‘Infinity Necklace’ which has raised an incredible €53,844.26 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI ).

Jennifer, who is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in June, recently uq12nveiled the exclusive necklace at the Dylan Oaks store in Kildare Village. The piece sold out within minutes, with 100% of the proceeds going to support NBCRI’s vital research work.

Crafted by the design team at Dylan Oaks from 925 sterling silver and plated in 18kt gold, the ‘Infinity Necklace’ features an elegant interlocking loop design symbolizing an unbroken bond, strength, and endless hope.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in Ireland, with 1 in 7 women expected to develop the disease and more than 3,587 new cases diagnosed annually. NBCRI, based at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway, works with international partners to advance diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies aimed at improving outcomes for patients.

John and Laura McAnenly from Dylan Oaks along with Jennifer visited the breast cancer research lab at the University of Galway to meet the research team and presented the cheque for €53,844.26 to NBCRI Chairperson, Dr Caroline Loughnane and NBCRI Research Director, Professor Michael Kerin.

Following the visit, Dylan Oaks owners, John and Laura McAnenly said the brand was honoured to support Jennifer and the work of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute and were delighted their necklace generated so much awareness and funds for the charity.
