In keeping with a much-loved tradition on the historic Victorian estate in Connemara, Kylemore Abbey will once again host its Annual Christmas Shopping Weekend on November 15 and 16, inviting festive shoppers to enjoy a relaxed and atmospheric start to the Christmas season.

Far from the hustle and bustle of busy high streets, visitors can take in the peace and beauty of Kylemore while enjoying a wholesome carvery lunch, a Christmas-themed harp recital, and complimentary tastings of Kylemore’s handmade festive produce, plus a 10 per cent discount storewide at the Kylemore Craft & Design Shop throughout the weekend.

From beloved Irish and international gift brands, including Barbour, Dubarry, Jellycat, and Green Angel, to Kylemore-made signature treats like traditional Christmas pudding, brandy butter, mulled wine mix, chocolates from Sr. Genevieve’s Chocolate Kitchen, and soaps handcrafted by the Benedictine nuns, shoppers will find something special for every stocking and table.

These artisanal products were recently featured in the RTÉ three-part documentary “The Hills Are Alive: A Year at Kylemore Abbey,” which reairs from Wednesday, November 12, on RTÉ 2 at 8pm.

To make the experience even easier, Kylemore’s complimentary gift-wrapping service ensures that guests can leave fully prepared for the season ahead, with no stress, no queues, and just a festive day out in a breathtaking setting.
