The 11th annual Croí Night Run 5k is taking place on the evening of Friday, October 17, with rolling road closures and delays expected along Salthill Promenade during the race.

The annual fundraiser, sponsored by Benecol, begins at 8pm. Due to the unprecedented demand, with 2,000 participants expected, Croí is advising motorists and road users that there may be delays in the area between 8pm and 9.30pm.

A temporary rolling road closure has been granted on Grattan Road (R336 ) from Mutton Island to Blackrock from 8pm to 9.30pm to facilitate the race.

The 5k race will start at Mutton Island at 8pm, and crowds are expected in the area in advance of the start time.

Croí has extended its gratitude to registrants, and to communities along the route for their patience and understanding in advance of the event.
