The Ballybane Community Centre (Community Hub, 30 Béal Srutha, Ballybane, H91 TW27 ) has an exciting week of activities lined up for the local community. From health research opportunities to practical advice and seasonal fun, there’s something for everyone.

Back Pain Research – Volunteers Wanted

The ATU Sports Lab invites volunteers to take part in an innovative study on biomechanics, movement, and low back pain. This research forms part of the EU’s Virtual Rehabilitation initiative and uses safe, cutting-edge wearable sensor technology to better understand walking and movement patterns.

Both healthy individuals and those experiencing low back pain are welcome to participate.

If you’re interested in volunteering, call into the Ballybane Community Hub on Tuesday, 21st October at 7pm. No appointment is necessary. Parking is available beside Ballybane Library.

Garda Clinic

Community Garda Kenneth Boyle will hold his monthly Garda Clinic at the Ballybane Community Hub on Wednesday, 22nd October.

Garda Boyle will be available from 8pm to 9pm to assist members of the public with form signing, crime prevention advice, or reporting concerns.

Everyone is welcome to drop in for a chat. The Hub is located at 30 Béal Srutha, Ballybane, H91 TW27, with parking adjacent to Ballybane Library.

Spooktacular Cookery Demonstration

Get into the Halloween spirit at the Ballybane Community Hub on Thursday, October 23 at 7pm with a “Spooktacular” cookery demonstration by local chef Maria McNeela.

Learn how to turn your carved pumpkin leftovers into delicious dishes such as pumpkin soup, pork, sage and pumpkin lasagne, and pumpkin pie for dessert!

Come along in your best Halloween costume for a chance to win a prize.

All are welcome — join the fun, learn some creative cooking tips, and enjoy a ghoulishly good evening at the Hub.
