The new Toyota Proace Max has arrived in Ireland following its debut Irish appearance at the National Ploughing Championships last week.
Toyota's first entry into the European heavy-duty van market combines a "powerful load carrying capacity with efficient performance and a powerful, robust design". The new Proace Max is available in long wheel base, medium roof and boasts a load volume of up to 1,375kg.
The new van is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, with an output of 140hp, 350Nm torque and a 2.5-tonne towing capacity. Quoted fuel consumption is 7.9l/100km.
Inside, the multimedia offering includes a new 10-inch touchscreen and a seven-inch colour TFT instrument display, and comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
For ease of use, it has dynamic guidelines on the reversing camera and a pre-collision system with pedestrian and cyclist detection. For driver comfort, it also comes with cruise control and automatic air conditioning.
The new Toyota Proace Max is priced in Ireland from €35,022, excluding VAT, and comes with Toyota's three-year/100,000km manufacturer warranty.
