The Community Transport Study being drawn up for Headford will be on public display by the end of the month, according to local councillor Andrew Reddington.
Cllr Reddington told the Advertiser that this is only the second Community Transport Study of its type to be issued nationally, as some of Galway County Council timelines and deliverables can be challenging.
However, the work on the Headford Community Transport Study is actively progressing, behind the scenes at the moment.
“Several information gathering sessions, internal project reviews and desktop surveys have taken place in recent months in an effort to complete the story of Headford.
“The Systra team, our Transportation Planning and Design Consultant, has planned for site visits and surveys in the next few days which will complete this phase of the project,” he said.
The Community Transport Study will consider Headford under themes such as public transport, schools, active travel, road safety and parking.
It is expected that the this Study will issue relatively soon and would be put on public display by the end of September once Kinvara CTS was finished.
