MADRA (Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue & Adoption ) has shared a heartwarming update to a story that captured hearts across the country: the mother of 13 newborn puppies found off Galway’s N59 has been located, and the family is now reunited.
Last Friday, the rescue organisation revealed the discovery of the tiny pups in a remote area with no sign of their mother. Unsure whether she was a stray or the puppies had been abandoned, MADRA appealed to the public for help. The plea was shared widely on social media, picked up by media outlets, and supported by determined searches from volunteers.
While the puppies were receiving round-the-clock care from fosterers, nothing could replace the comfort and nourishment of their own mother. Her return is the best possible outcome for them all.
