It was a Race Week to remember at The Connacht Hotel – and not just for the racing. In an unexpected and uplifting moment, legendary former World Champion boxer Chris Eubank, who was staying at the hotel during Galway’s busiest week, took the time to share some heartfelt words with the hotel’s staff.
What began as a brief thank-you gesture to the team for their warm hospitality turned into a captivating 45-minute talk on spirituality, life philosophy, and purpose. Mr Eubank spoke with sincerity, charm, and his trademark flair, leaving the Connacht Hotel team both inspired and moved.
Staff gathered in one of the hotel’s meeting rooms expecting a quick meet-and-greet but were instead treated to a thought-provoking and energising conversation with one of boxing’s most iconic figures. From reflections on self-belief and kindness to tales from the ring and life beyond it, the experience left an indelible mark on all who attended.
