Lucky local lotto player scoops €625,081 EuroMillions prize

The quiet seaside village of Carraroe is buzzing with excitement this week after a local EuroMillions player scooped a life-changing €625,081 in Tuesday night’s draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Eurospar Carraroe, adding another success to the store’s growing reputation for lucky wins.

The Galway winner matched five numbers and one Lucky Star in the EuroMillions draw on 15th July, securing a dazzling midweek windfall. The winning ticket is the second sold by the store, having previously sold a €7 million Lotto jackpot ticket last November.

The winning numbers drawn were 24, 38, 41, 45, and 49, with Lucky Stars 1 and 6. While the overall jackpot of €96.8 million went unclaimed, more than 40,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus games on the night.

National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan congratulated the Galway winner, urging players to check their tickets carefully. The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket immediately and contact the claims team to arrange the collection of their prize at Lottery HQ.
