Daniella Szitas, founder of The Groom Room in Terryland, has been dedicated to animal care and grooming for over a decade.

After studying animal science in Sweden for three years, Daniella moved to Ireland, where she completed FETAC Level 5 and 6 qualifications in veterinary nursing and dog grooming in Cork. In 2012, she opened The Groom Room, which has since earned a strong reputation for expert, compassionate grooming.

Daniella continues to advance her skills through international workshops and seminars, and has competed successfully in grooming competitions across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the U.S.

Situated above Petworld in Terryland (H91RW8K ), The Groom Room is open Tuesday to Saturday. The Groom Room offers full grooms, breed standard grooms, wash and dry, de-shedding treatments, puppy grooms, comfort grooms for senior pets, nail clipping, and ear cleaning. Cat grooming, including brushing, bathing, and clipping, is also available, as well as grooming for rabbits and guinea pigs.

Regular grooming is essential for all breeds, particularly long-coated, curly-coated, extreme double-coated, flat-faced dogs, and longhaired cats. Grooming keeps coats healthy, reduces shedding, prevents matting, maintains short nails, and can help detect lumps, bumps, fleas, and ticks early.

All pets must be fully vaccinated. Puppies are welcome 10 days after their second vaccination, receiving gentle introductions to grooming. Senior pets benefit from short, manageable styles and comfortable drying options.

Daniella is a proud member of the Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association (IPDGA ) and remains committed to providing the highest standard of care to every pet.
