The British Irish Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Aidan Finnegan as its new Deputy Director General.

Aidan, a Galway native, has played a leading role in shaping the Chamber’s policy and advocacy work in recent years, with a particular focus on trade, investment, and bilateral cooperation between the UK and Ireland.

In his new role, he will support the continued growth of the Chamber’s voice across both jurisdictions and help drive its strategic direction at a time of significant economic and political change. He will continue to serve as the Chamber’s Director of Policy and Public Affairs.

Commenting on the appointment, Director General Paul Lynam said Aidan’s deep understanding of UK-Ireland relations, combined with his thoughtful and pragmatic approach, makes him ideally placed to take on this leadership role.

"I look forward to working even more closely with him as we continue to support our members and promote the bilateral agenda.”

Aidan, who is son of broadcaster Keith Finnegan and renowned artist Joan Finnegan, of Corcullen said it is a privilege to take on this role and to continue working with the excellent team, board and membership.

"The Chamber has an increasingly important role to play in championing the bilateral relationship, and I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made in recent years.”

The British Irish Chamber of Commerce is the leading voice of business across the UK-Ireland corridor, representing companies operating in both markets and working to promote prosperity through partnership.
