Sysco has installed a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED ) at its Galway site at Glennascaul, Oranmore, as part of a national effort to support cardiac emergency response.
Every year, thousands of people in Ireland experience cardiac arrest. Immediate CPR and access to an AED can increase survival chances, and the model installed is particularly user-friendly, with LED and voice prompts to guide untrained users. The AED has been registered with the National AED Network, ensuring emergency services can guide bystanders to it in a crisis.
This initiative reflects Sysco’s continued commitment to the safety of its people and the communities it serves.
