Fiat has now revealed a mild-hybrid version of the revived Panda.

Following the launch of the fully-electric Fiat Grande Panda, the Italian brand has now revealed a mild-hybrid version of the revived Panda.

Set to launch in Ireland this summer, the Grande Panda Hybrid features a T-Gen3 hybrid powertrain with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine delivering 110hp, combined with a 48V Li-ion battery and an eDCT six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This system integrates a 21kW electric motor, an inverter, and a central control unit.

The only difference between the Grande Panda Electric and the Grande Panda Hybrid is the powertrain. For the hybrid model, the exterior design remains a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1980's Panda icon. With its wedge-like profile, robust stance, and surprising details, Fiat says the Grande Panda stands out as both iconic and innovative.

Distinctive PXL LED headlamps evoke retro video games, while the cube-like taillights and blacked-out pillars emphasise a strong visual identity. Details such as 3D-branded, low-relief 'PANDA' lettering on the doors and the 'FIAT' ones on the rear, a lenticular C-pillar graphic, and the glossy black bezel reinforce its authentic character.

With a range of exterior colours available and a choice of trims - POP, ICON, and LA PRIMA - customers can personalise their Grande Panda to suit a variety of preferences and needs.

The new Grande Panda measures 3.99 metres in length, 1.76 metres in width, and 1.58 metres in height, and comes with a 412-litre boot capacity. Fiat claims the roomy interior of the Grande Panda boasts best-in-class shoulder width, modular storage, and expressive design.

The entry-level POP trim comes with ADAS features, manual A/C, a 10-inch digital cluster, automatic eDCT transmission, Electric Parking Brake (EPB ), and a smartphone station.

The ICON trim brings a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with six speakers, full LED headlamps and rear lamps, and three customisable upgrade packs - Tech, Style, and Winter.

The Tech Pack includes automatic climate control, navigation, front parking sensors, a rearview camera, and wireless charging. The Style Pack introduces 16-inch alloy wheels, roof bars, privacy glasses, and skid plates, while the Winter Pack (available only with the Tech Pack ) includes heated seats, steering wheel, and windshield.

At the top of the range, the LA PRIMA trim combines all packages, along with 17-inch alloy wheels, premium interior finishes, and exclusive use of BAMBOX Bamboo Fiber Tex for the dashboard – a fabric said to contain 33 per cent real bamboo fibres.

The Fiat Grande Panda Hybrid will arrive in Ireland this summer, with full pricing, specifications and pack options announced closer to launch.
