The Galmont Hotel & Spa, Galway Recognised for Excellence at CIÉ Tours Awards

The Galmont Hotel & Spa is delighted to be one of the Irish hotels singled out by the 30,000 US visitors who came to Ireland with CIE Tours in 2024 to be given a CIÉ Tours Award of Excellence after reaching a rating of more than 92%.

Now in their 33rd year, CIÉ Tours, the largest carrier of US visitors to Ireland every year, awarded this year’s prestigious accolades based on post-stay feedback received from their customers.

The Galmont’s first gong for 2025 comes off the back of a windfall of wins enjoyed by the business last year culminating with the 2024 Irish Hotel Awards where the team scooped four of the prestigious Connacht accolades including: Four Star Hotel of the Year; City Hotel of the Year; Excellence in Service; and Great Irish Breakfast at the ceremony held at Johnstown Estate in Meath in October.

General Manager Stefan Lundstrom said: “We’re very honoured to have received a Merit Award in the CIÉ Tours Awards of Excellence hotel category. Any awards that are based on guest feedback are highly valued by our team here as it’s reflective of the authentic experiences enjoyed by the very people who choose to stay in our hotel. At The Galmont we don’t just want our guests to fall in love with our hotel and the service they receive, we want them to fall in love with Galway and all it has to offer. To know that so many of our visitors from the US will be returning home and sharing the happy memories they’ve made in our city with friends, family and colleagues, spreading the love for tourism in Ireland, makes us feel very proud.”

Chairman of CIÉ Tours, Aidan Murphy said; “That we can offer a unique experience unrivalled by any other country is due in no small part to our many partners who work closely with us, taking the feedback from our visitors and continuously refining their offering. Our honorees are exemplary contributors to our 95.4% guest satisfaction rate, and they all deserve recognition for the excellent roles they play in welcoming visitors to Ireland and ensuring they have a memorable experience”.
