Sinn Féin TD Mairéad Farrell and Sinn Féin Cllr Aisling Burke have called for a masterplan to be developed for Ballybane as the area has been left behind for too long.

Cllr Aisling Burke said: “Ballybane is a great place to live and has so much potential, but we need Galway City Council to develop a masterplan for the area to ensure that we have access to the services that are needed. Fantastic work is done by the community itself which has been a brilliant asset to us all. I will continue to raise this with the council.”

Mairéad Farrell TD, added: “We recently conducted a survey in Ballybane to ask for people’s thoughts and ideas for the Ballybane area.

“For those we have not reached please do get in contact with either myself or Aisling with your ideas. All ideas are welcome both big and small and let us work together for the improvement of our area.”

Aisling Burke and Mairéad Farrell hold a monthly clinic in the Ballybane Resource Centre, next clinic is on Monday, February 17 from 6pm to 7pm.
