Connolly’s Volvo named EV Dealership of the Year 2025 for Galway

Connolly’s Volvo, located in the Briarhill Business Park, has been named ZEVI Electric Vehicle Dealership of the Year 2025 for County Galway.

The Electric Vehicle (EV ) Dealership of the Year awards are organised by Zero Vehicles Emissions Ireland (ZEVI ), an office within the Department of Transport, and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI ). The awards recognise and reward outstanding efforts in promoting and encouraging EV uptake in Ireland.

Connolly’s Volvo was evaluated on several criteria including showroom visibility of electric vehicles, salesperson knowledge of EVs, sales approach, EV training, sales trends and website presentation.

More than 130 vehicle retailers from 23 counties participated in the fourth edition of these annual awards, with 24 dealerships being awarded EV Dealership of the Year 2025 for their respective counties. This year there are two winners in Co. Kerry.

Connolly’s Volvo will now be entered into the regional competition for Connacht, with the winners going on to the national finals later this year.

Commenting on the awards win, Tom Raftery, general manager at Connolly’s Volvo said: “We’re delighted to pick up the ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year award for County Galway.
