Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB ) recently hosted a special event at the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry to recognise the dedication and commitment of its outgoing Board members who have completed a full term of service.

Chief Executive of GRETB, David Leahy, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Board members for their invaluable contributions, saying:

“The guidance and oversight provided by the Board have been instrumental in shaping GRETB’s growth and ensuring we continue to meet the diverse educational needs of our communities. Their dedication to good governance and strategic vision has left a lasting impact.”

RETB is governed by a statutory Board, which plays a vital role in ensuring accountability, integrity, and strategic direction for the organisation. The Board’s work underpins GRETB’s mission to empower individuals through education, training, and lifelong learning.

A Public Body committed to public service values, GRETB continues to grow and evolve, offering pathways for everyone, from early education to apprenticeships, further education, youth services, and community learning. It operates Community National Schools, Post-Primary Schools, Further Education and Training colleges, and Adult Education Centres, providing opportunities for learners of all ages and backgrounds.

GRETB extends its sincere thanks to the outgoing Board members for their years of service and dedication to education and the betterment of our communities.
