Get along and support 10-year-old Realtín Saunders for her ‘Big Cut’ this Sunday at 4.30pm, in Burkes of Colemanstown when she will donate 14 inches of her beautiful hair to the Rapunzel Foundation for the second time.
She was just seven years of age when she was first inspired to help children who suffer from hair loss after learning about the Rapunzel Foundation.
Placing so much value in her own princess hair, she wanted to help and you can too. Join Realtín and her friends and family on the evening of the 26th when Niamh Kilkenny and Dervla Higgins, Galway Camogie All Stars, together with local stylist from Sandilocks Hair Salon in Gurteen, will do the honours for the ‘Big Cut’.
Realtín also thought this would be a great opportunity to raise some funds for a local charity, Galway Simon Community, a key provider of homeless services across Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
Their vision is a community where everyone lives in a place they call home and they endeavour to do this by providing housing, prevention and tenancy sustainment, together with health and wellbeing services to those who need their help.
A huge thank you to Frank and Bernie Burke, Sandra Flannery, Dervla Higgins and Niamh Kilkenny for their support. To support see https://www.idonate.ie/event/RealtinsHaircutFundraiser
