Galway’s 100 Voice Choir set to debut on Taibhdhearc stage this November

Galway’s 100 Voice Choir are set to debut on An Taibhdhearc stage this November as part of a live music performance event in aid of a new Galway based charity, The Migrant Collective.

The group, which consists of over 100 singers who recently came together to join forces with members of Rise Choir, are set to perform in the Taibhdhearc Theatre on Friday November 3 at 7pm as part of a solo concert by long standing choir member and local singer Laura McDermott to raise much needed funds for those in direct provision in Galway City and county.

Founded by Laura and her twin sister Lisa Lynch, the Migrant Collective Galway charity supports the underserved in Galway by proactively meeting the basic needs and requirements of those in direction provision. This November they are launching their annual Christmas Fundraising appeal with a show of diverse voices and a curated set list to reflect and celebrate our diverse city and the power of coming together through music.

The Choir, who will be joining Laura McDermott on stage ahead of their big performance at the Born To Rise Showcase in January, are set to deliver three powerful and motivational songs, reflecting on the importance of having a voice and how we can all work together as one, to make a difference in our community.

A spokesperson for the choir said this has been such an incredible experience to be part of.

“Laura is a valued member of our community and an incredible singer. I am really looking forward to supporting her on stage, and raising funds for this very worthy cause’.

Promising to be an event the whole family can enjoy, tickets for this not for profit live music performance are available at €20 and can be purchased directly from The Taibhdhearc website @ https://www.antaibhdhearc.com/.
