Citylink expands range of services to Connemara

As part of its long-term expansion strategy, Irish Citylink has announced that it will be expanding its 923 Galway to Clifden Service from 12 daily services up to 20.

Citylink’s 923 route provides connection to many towns and villages on its way out to Clifden including Moycullen, Oughterard, Maam Cross, Cleggan and Letterfrack. The introduction of new daily services will see patrons be able to avail of buses earlier in the morning and later in the evening and can help give those who commute to Galway City a sustainable alternative.

“The 923 service is one of the key routes in the Citylink network. We’re delighted to provide these communities with a broader variety of times and bolster connectivity in the region” says Regional General Manager for Citylink, Frances Cahill. “Our long-term goal is to not only expand our network but to invest in the communities we already serve with pride”

As part of its ever-growing network, this route expansion comes on the back of the recent launch of Citylink’s new Castlebar to Dublin Airport route which saw it provide County Mayo with a vital connection to the capital city and airport.

“We take the feedback from our passengers on-board and we listen carefully to the needs of the various regions we operate in – I keep telling our passengers to keep an eye out for Citylink, big things will be coming down the road!” continued Frances Cahill.

For over 20 years now, Irish Citylink and its distinctive Blue and Yellow coaches have been providing reliable, sustainable and cost-effective travel and has been linking Ireland’s major towns and cities with over 100 daily direct services.
