Since it was founded in 1982 by Dr. Brendan O’ Connor, Cois Cladaigh has been part of the cultural fabric of Galway city. The choir has represented Galway both at home and abroad very successfully in that time.

Throughout their 40-year journey, Cois Cladaigh has been instrumental in shaping our city’s unique musical culture.

Their performances have resonated through our concert halls, churches, and public spaces, bringing together people from different backgrounds to appreciate the power of music.

By blending their voices, Cois Cladaigh has given transcendent musical performances that have left their audiences moved and inspired.

On the recent retirement of their founder and musical director Brendan O’Connor they appointed Daniel Beuster to the role.

Their commitment to excellence and their love for their craft have made Cois Cladaigh a beacon of musical brilliance, enriching the lives of countless individuals and leaving an indelible mark on Galway city’s cultural music scene.
