Mazda boasts that its new 2023 MX-5 features a new body, soft top and interior colour choices, and that it also comes with a new grade structure offering comprehensive equipment specifications on even entry-level models.

A new exterior colour, Zircon Sand, replaces Polymetal Grey, while the MX-5 roadster’s soft-top is now available in brown, which replaces the red finish.

A new, three grade structure offers a choice of the Prime-Line entry grade, Exclusive-Line mid grade, and the top-of-the-range Homura grade.

Mazda says the Exclusive-Line and Homura models may be equipped with an optional driver assistance pack, which bolsters the MX-5’s already comprehensive range of i-Activsense driver assistance technology.

It adds the Homura grade boasts numerous sporting features, including Recaro seats and black mirror caps. Homura versions fitted with the Skyactiv-G 2.0 184 PS engine are additionally equipped with a Brembo brake system, Bilstein dampers, a strut bar and forged BBS alloy wheels. Also in the range, is the Homura with a Skyactiv-G 1.5 132 PS engine featuring ‘RAYS’ alloy rims.

Two new special edition models, Kazari and Kizuna, are identified by unique colour combinations: Kazari features Terracotta Nappa leather upholstery, a brown soft top and a black hard top, while Kizuna combines white Nappa leather upholstery with a blue soft top and a black hard top. Both models are equipped, as standard, with the driver assistance pack.

The Skyactiv-G 1.5 132 PS engine is also now available across the entire MX-5 model range. And automatic transmission is also available exclusively on Skyactiv-G 2.0 RF Special Edition models.

Mazda doubles warranty on range

Mazda Ireland has also doubled the warranty on its entire range to six years or 150,000km for all models registered from January 2023.

This new six-year warranty is not the only comforting service Mazda offers its customers. Another good example is the Mazda Fair Service programme, which provides special conditions and discounts on parts for Mazda cars older than three years.

The MFS programme applies to Mazda genuine service and maintenance parts when the service is performed by an authorised Mazda dealer. This means a discount on service and maintenance parts according to the manufacturer’s classification.
