Award-winning Dublin law firm Lavelle Partners has joined a growing list of law firms to open an office in Galway.

The new office in Eyre Square will provide the firm with a base to serve their new and existing clients from the city, county, and wider Connacht area.

Lavelle Partners has grown since it was founded by Managing Partner Michael Lavelle in 1987 to its current status as one of the top ten Irish law firms, according to the Sunday Independent Ireland’s Best Irish Law Firms 2023.

Mr Lavelle says he always planned to open an office in the city.

“Galway’s position as one of the fastest growing cities in Europe and its business-friendly environment meant that when we were looking at expanding beyond our Dublin office, Galway was an easy choice.”

The Sunday Independent Ireland’s Best Law Firms 2023 noted Lavelle Partners’ well rounded offering in corporate M&A, employment, dispute resolution, medical negligence, and commercial property. The firm’s new office will allow people in Galway access expertise in these practice areas both locally and through the Dublin HQ.

Gríana O’Kelly, Partner in corporate and commercial at Lavelle Partners, who heads up the Galway office comments: “The West of Ireland and Galway City in particular, is a centre of growth and innovation in the medical, pharmaceutical, technology and creative sectors. We are excited to be able to assist these companies from our Galway based office.”
