The staff at Zenith Adhesive Components celebrating their decade in business last week.

Set up in 2012 to supply adhesive diecuts and specialist materials to other manufacturers, Zenith Adhesive Components has grown steadily to a staff of 25 with over 100 customers and their own premises in Blyry.

Currently concentrating on Medical Device and Electronics sub-components, they sell to mainly British and Irish clients but have delivered to as far as the US and China and can even say there are some of their diagnostics sub-components on the International Space Station.

“The last 10 years have been interesting and challenging, but always rewarding” said Pat O’ Neill, Managing Director, who started the business with a former work colleague, Jonathan Whately, Engineering Director.

“We were lucky to be able to get some great people to join us at the very start and thankfully they are still with us and have been a huge factor in our success as we grew every year since the beginning.”

Their many Irish customers in particular have appreciated local and reliable supply of components which they would otherwise have had to source abroad as theirs is a niche product offering and can be quite complex. The UK business grew on the back of their reputation for quick service and an ability to “think around corners” in challenging applications.

All staff last week enjoyed a day of fun activities at Elevate followed by a BBQ in the Radisson Athlone with a few celebratory drinks and Friday off to recover.
