The Ardilaun Hotel proudly celebrates its 60th birthday this St. Patrick’s Day and is marking the occasion with some complimentary refreshments for their local guests and hotel residents for everyone to share and enjoy on this momentous day. The hotel, which opened their doors for the first time on March 17 1962 by founders Paddy and Breda Ryan, is delighted to be celebrating 60 years this weekend.

The Ardilaun, which is one of Ireland’s most distinguished family run hotels, offers guests the complete package in a relaxing setting close to Galway city, which prides itself in delivering 60 years of personal and professional service down through the years.

John Ryan Managing Director of The Ardilaun Hotel has said that over the last 60 years the hotel industry has grown and evolved through times of great growth and periods of difficulty, but that they have remained committed to their mission/

“This mission is to offer affordable luxury accommodation and food and beverage offerings steeped in tradition while continuously delivering the highest standard of hospitality and personal attention to detail for both locals and residents alike. “We have been blessed with such wonderful, loyal staff over the years, and the people of Galway and beyond have made the last 60 years more than enjoyable and together with them, we want to celebrate what has been for us a wonderful 60 years here at the Ardilaun.”

To recognise and reward its many loyal guests and hotel visitors, the hotel is offering complimentary tea and coffee and scones from 10.30am on the day along with Prosecco and canapes from 12 noon.

There will be a tree planting ceremony with the Ryan family, and unveiling of a memorial seat in honour of Paddy and Breda Ryan at 3pm, followed by refreshments and birthday cake, and live music at 9pm, Lady Gregory and Persse Signature Cocktails, so why not pop in to the hotel to say hello and mark the occasion on what has been an eventful 60 years, and here’s to the next 60.
