Final phase of roadworks at Corner Chapel completed

New light columns, LED lighting, and extension of 450m of footpath among measures carried out

The final phase of works on a section of road at Corner Chapel, outside Headford, have been completed.

The works included ducting, laying new light columns, erecting new LED lighting, the extension of 450 meters of footpath, drainage works, and resurfacing the car park. Lighting connections by the ESB is the remaining work to be done.

The works have been welcomed by Fianna Fáil county councillor, Mary Hoade, who supported the scheme with €8,000 funding from her NOM allocation, together with the €58,000 funding received from Active Travel and Climate Action scheme.

Cllr Hoade has publicly thanked Paul Connolly, Stephen Quinn, and his team from Galway County Council, and the team at Electric Skyline.
