Danielle Gingell from Claremorris was this year's virtual winner of the best dressed competition at the Galway Races.

Danielle's Gingell's monochrome look was a homage to days gone by, embodying the fun and quirky element the judges were looking for in a winner. Wearing a Self Portrait design, Arturo Rios headpiece, accompanied by ASOS bag, Newbridge silverware accessories and Zara shoes, the Mayo dog groomer took inspiration from old Hollywood glamour to create her statement look.

Her prize was a two-night deluxe stay in The Galmont Hotel and Spa, including dinner, champagne on arrival and spa treatments. In addition she received two VIP hospitality tickets to next year’s Galway Races 2021, and luxury products from LanaiBlo, Instyler, Hairtalk, Trilogy and Box of Wine.

The Her Virtual Best Dressed finalists were judged by reigning Her Best Dressed champion Pamela Uba, as well as TV personality and Her presenter Cassie Stokes, and Her’s CCO, Gillian Fitzpatrick.

Gillian Fitzpatrick said everyone made such an incredible effort for the 2020 Her Virtual Best Dressed competition.

"We asked you to showcase outfits which were bold and different and you all truly delivered. We were overwhelmed at the response and generous charity donations. Although this year’s competition was fierce, Danielle really stood out for Pamela, Cassie and me as a brilliantly stylish head- to-toe look,”

Galway Races Ladies’ Day is traditionally regarded as the biggest day in the Irish Racing calendar, and although this year's races were different, Her's head of content Niamh Maher said it was a pleasure to watch the entries flood in and keep the spirit of Ladies Day alive at the Galway Races.

"This is the second year Her has sponsored the Best Dressed event at the Galway Races and once again we are completely blown away by our winners. In hindsight, with the immense amount of style on show, perhaps it was a good thing we weren't at the racecourse as nobody would be looking at the horses."
