Time running out to buy VW Touareg N1 model

Volkswagen Ireland reminds us the clock is ticking for anyone who wants to get a hold of the last of the Touareg N1 Commercial models.

The five-seater commercial vehicles offer significant savings for buyers compared to the passenger version of these models.

The current Volkswagen Touareg N1 is available until July 30 for €62,925 including VAT - and must be registered by or on this date.

VW tells us all of the remaining Touareg NI models come with a technology pack with more than €5,500 worth of kit for €1,499 and many of them come with the R-Line package too.

Volkswagen Ireland claims that compared to the full retail price of a passenger example of the same model, there is a total of €23,400 of savings to be made. They can only be sold to VAT-registered businesses and cost €62,925 including VAT.

New Touareg on sale soon

A new Touareg is due in the coming weeks. It is 77mm longer and 44mm wider, and it sits on the VW Group’s flagship MLBevo platform. What this means is the new Touareg shares many of its internals with the likes of the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne, and even the likes of Bentley’s Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus.

The new Touareg is expected to debut with a choice of two power outputs (231bhp or 286bhp ) V6 turbo-diesel engines married to an eight-speed automatic Tiptronic gearbox and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. Although not yet confirmed for Ireland, a 340PS V6 petrol engine option should be available early in 2019, as will a 421 PS V8 diesel at some stage.

There has also been no European introduction date for the 367 PS plug-in hybrid version that is already confirmed for the Chinese market.
