Galway Bay Golf Resort presents their annual Galway Bay Ladies AM AM.

Galway Bay Golf Resort will hold their annual Ladies AM AM on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of May. Teams of 4 can sign up for a thrilling bank holiday weekend of golf in aid of a good cause. This year’s charity is ‘Rosabels Rooms’ and the event will be supported by Renvyle House Hotel and Resort in Connemara. There will be lots of great prizes on offer including overnight breaks, dinner and vouchers for Renvyle House.

Galway Bay Golf Resort’s Eileen Clasby says “As Lady Captain of Galway Bay Golf Resort one of my important roles is to select a charity to benefit from the Ladies Club Am Am tournament. There are so many deserving Charities out there but the one I selected is Rosabel’s Rooms. I know Gary and Suzanne personally and I know others who have lost Children and how badly they have been affected in the immediate aftermath, and I feel that Rosabel’s Rooms is a brilliant initiative to offer a small bit of solace at an incredibly difficult time for the Parents.

I only hope that the very generous Galway Bay Members and Visitors can benefit the charity by raising as much as possible on the day for such a worthy cause, and I intend to do everything in my power to raise that bar of expectation!”

‘Rosabels Rooms’ is a very special national initiative to provide essential comfort and support to families experiencing child loss in Ireland. The project was founded by Suzanne McClean and Gary Monroe, who tragically and suddenly lost their daughter Rosabel last April, aged 16 months. Ireland’s first “Rosabel's Room’ is currently underway at University Hospital Galway. Through its 'Room-to-Heal' fund, this project will also facilitate therapeutic and financial supports for individuals and families impacted by child loss in Ireland.

'We are really enthusiastic about this project, which was launched in collaboration with The Irish Hospice Foundation on what would have been Rosabel's second birthday. It is hoped that Rosabel's Rooms will assist other families during the saddest time of their lives, and that alongside this our daughter will be remembered as the beautiful little angel that we always knew she was'.

Suzanne McClean, Co-founder, ‘Rosabel’s Rooms’.
