The Galway minor hurlers were on the end of a solid trouncing by a lively and polished Limerick team last weekend in the All-Ireland semi-final. The final score was Limerick 1-27 to Galway's 2-9.

Salthill's Andrew Moore is celebrating winning gold at the at Canadian Age Groups Swimming Championships in Winnepeg.

The Bish fifth year student won the 200m breaststroke and also took bronze in the 400m IM (age 16) at Canadian event, while finishing as a finalist in his other three events - 6th (100m breaststroke); 7th (200m IM) and 8th (50m breaststroke). He was also a member of the Irish 4 x 100m medley relay (16-18) that finished sixth overall.
