Recently-crowned Connacht football champions Corofin will travel to London this weekend to play Fulham Irish in the All-Ireland quarter-final in what is a novel pairing for both teams.

Fulham Irish won their first London championship this year and will be hopeful of catching Corofin on the hop this Sunday when they meet in Ruislip at 1pm.

Canney’s late strike seals Connacht success for Medtronic

Medtronic regained the Connacht Senior Interfirms title when they defeated reigning champions Mayo Teachers in the Connacht final by 2-8 to 0-11 at the Connacht Centre Of Excellence recently.

Medtronic, due to wayward shooting, trailed for large portions of the match until two second-half goals clinched a fourth title in five years at this grade.

Keane starts to crack the whip as Connacht head to Italy

Kieran Keane returns to Italy for the first time in 38 years when he takes his Connacht squad to Parma for Saturday's PRO 14 joust with Michael Bradley's Zebre.

It is something of a nostalgic return for Keane who was a member of the 1979 All Blacks side that played a first international match against Italy in Rovigo at the end of a tour to England and Scotland.
