EDWIN CONGREAVE, the keyboardist with leading English indie-rock band Foals will be in Galway this weekend, DJing at the Electric Garden and Theatre.

Edwin will be DJing at the Deep Shit party night on Sunday, where he will be joined by on the decks by Jack Savidge of fellow indie band Friendly Fires. Deep Shit is their “combined descent into a dark realm governed entirely by dancefloor values”.

IT’S ALL go for Irish indie band Senakah, with a new single and an Irish tour which takes in Kelly’s Bar, Bridge Street this Saturday.

The band, featuring Galway woman Yvonne Conaty on bass, have just released their new single ‘Sinking’ from the album Human Relations. They have also been endorsed by music equipment giants Peavey and been picked up by Kanoon Records in Germany

GALWAY SIMON Community has been selected as the chosen charity for two concerts to take place during St Patrick’s Weekend.

The concerts will take place in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church. The first takes place on Saturday at 8pm with the Laramie and Kelly Walsh Choirs from Wyoming. The choirs are made up of 90 singers from the western US and perform popular classics, spirituals, pop, and Irish and American folk songs. The choirs will also be accompanied by a bluegrass band.
