It all comes down to this for Salthill Devon

Salthill Devon welcome St Francis for a Group 2 decider in the FAI National League.

For Greg Cunningham's side only victory will be enough to guarantee top spot and a place in the semi-final. Thanks to their superior goal difference, St Francis only need a point to secure first place.

A 3-1 victory away at Letterkenny last weekend cemented Salthill Devon's place joint top of the group. Goals from Ben McDonnell and a brace from Princewill Diala were enough to get three points. St Francis smashed Mayo FC 4-1 in their last fixture.

In the reverse meeting between these two sides, Salthill Devon were defeated 4-1 by St Francis on a disappointing day in the capital.

It was Salthill Devon's first defeat of their National League campaign. Two first half goals by St Francis' Danny Hickey gave the home side control before they extended their lead after the break to seal the three points through goals by Conor Behan and Jamie Gray. Josh Keane-Quinlivan pulled one back for his side with a long range free-kick in the 84th minute.

That remains Salthill Devon's only defeat of the campaign. Cunningham's side will be desperate to reverse that result from September.

The three group winners and the best-placed runner-up qualify for the semi-finals. Salthill Devon won't want to depend on results from other groups to get that best-placed runner-up spot.

It all now comes down to 3pm Saturday at NFP Drom Park.
