Athenry Juvenile AC had a hugely successful weekend Day One of the Connacht Cross Country Even Ages in Enniscrone last Sunday.
Seven athletes have now qualified for the nationals in Derry on November 23 of this year. Despite the very wet and challenging conditions, the athletes took on every corner with confidence and using the hills to their advantage. Their determination and teamwork truly shone through.
Amongst the medal winners was the U12 Boys team of Shane Higgins, Cian Casserly, Tadhg Delmer, and Eoghan Shryane that claimed bronze. Rian Collins also won individual bronze in the U18 Boys.
