The 2025 National Cup final opened with County Galway winning the toss and opting to bat first at Bready Cricket Club.

County Galway posted 218 all out, after being bowled out in the 39th over. Sukphal Singh (63 ) led the way with the bat, followed by Swaroop Burra who scored 29 off 15 early on in the innings. Khizar Mehmood was the pick of the bowlers for County Galway, taking 3-15 with his leg-spin.

County Galway looked to be in the ascendancy early on with the ball after removing both openers inside the first two overs. Regular wickets continued to be a problem for the chasing side, but a last wicket partnership of 68 runs between Kashif Khan and Yaqoob Ali made County Galway sweat just at the end.

But County Galway proved themselves tactically strong to see off their opponents by 55 runs and claim the title in a tight game. Sukphal Singh won the player-of-the-match.

The result was also the first National Cup victory for a Connacht Club.
