City centre assault

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for information following a serious assault on Upper Dominick Street in the city last week.

A man in his thirties sustained a significant head injury during the assault, which took place at around 2.30am on Thursday July 20.

Assault in Salthill

Gardaí in Salthill have launched an investigation into an assault which left a man with serious head injuries.

The man was attacked at Lenaboy Park, Salthill, at around 9.10pm on Sunday last, July 23.

Boat engines stolen from Kinvara

Gort Gardaí are investigating the theft of two boat engines and navigation equipment from a boat which was moored at Parkview Pier in Kinvara last week.

The theft probably occurred overnight on Tuesday July 18/Wednesday July 19. The stolen items were a Yamaha boat engine, valued at €7,150; a Suzuki boat engine, valued at €750; and Garmin brand echo sounder navigation equipment, valued at €355.

Gardaí want to speak to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in Kinvara last week, or who may have any information on the stolen equipment. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gort Garda Station on 091 636400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.

Burglary in Galway city centre

A number of electronic items were stolen from an apartment on Merchants Road earlier this week.

The apartment was broken into between 10pm on Sunday July 23 and 2.30am on Monday July 24.

Burglary in Roscahill

Gardaí in Moycullen are investigating a burglary which occurred at Knockferry, Rosscahill, last Sunday, July 23.

The house was broken into between 1.15pm and 6pm on Sunday. A black Audi was seen in the area on Sunday afternoon. Jewellery and cash were taken from a residence.
