Burglary at Churchfields in Lower Salthill

Sometime between 2am and 6am on Tuesday September 26. entry was gained to a shed at the rear of a property at Churchfields, Lower Salthill. During the course of this burglary, 2 black Carrera E-bikes and a purple Carrera bicycle were stolen.

Burglaries in Headford

Gardai in Headford are investigating two burglaries that occurred sometime between 10:30pm on Wednesday September 27 and 8am on Thursday September 28.

Naomh Padraig National School, Knockroone, Headford was broken into where a small amount of cash was taken. Entry was gained to the property via a rear window.

Similarly, Cloghanover Community Centre was broken into where a small amount of cash was taken. Again, entry was gained into the property via a rear window.

Burglary Menlough

Sometime between 5pm Saturday September 30 and 1am on Sunday October 1- a property was broken into at Garbally, Menlough.

The owners of the property returned to find that their house was ransacked where some cash and jewellery were stolen.

Burglary at Killaan, Woodlawn

Similarly, a house was broken into at Killann, Woodlawn, Ballinasloe sometime between 7:30pm Saturday September 30 and 1am on Sunday October 1.

During the course of this burglary, jewellery and clothing was stolen.

Criminal damage Coillte Mhuirlinne, Ballybane

Gardaí in Galway are investigating a criminal damage incident which occurred at Coillte Mhuirlinee on Monday October 2 at approximately 3am. Gardai received a report of a vehicle on fire causing extensive damage to the vehicle

Galway United in FAI Cup Semi Final

Galway United are facing Bohemians in the FAI Cup Semi Final at the Eamonn Deacy Park on Saturday October 7 at 2:40pm.

Large crowds are expected to attend this important fixture and Gardai are asking supporters attending to arrive in good time and to cooperate with stewards and Gardai present.

Galway Gardai wish to advise motorists to expect delays in and around Eamonn Deacy Park prior and after the match.
