Mayo County Council has announced that Gaelscoil na Cruaiche in Westport and St James’s NS, Barnacogue, is participating in the School Exhibition Loan Scheme and will be hosting exhibitions from Mayo County Council’s art collection. The specially collated exhibitions will be on show at the schools until the end of term.

Thousands raised for Irish Cancer Society

Recently Ballina, Swinford, and Castlebar Tesco’s staff and customers showed their support when they took part in the National Bag Pack and together raised more than €2,500 in aid of Tesco’s Charity of the Year, the Irish Cancer Society. Funds raised from the bag pack will go towards the national rollout of Care to Drive, a volunteer driving service for cancer patients.
