Western Care Association is looking for runners, joggers and walkers to take part in the annual Balla 10 kilometre Road Race which takes place tomorrow (Saturday July 26) commencing at 7pm.

On Reek Sunday (July 27) Sanofi-aventis invites you to the Health Matters tent at the foot of Croagh Patrick to get your blood pressure checked in aid of the Niall Mellon Trust.

Scoil Acla classes commence on July 28 in creative writing, and traditional music song and dance. The official opening by poet John F Deane takes place on Monday evening July 28 in Gielty's, Dooagh with registration for all classes and activities taking place that morning at 9am.

Thanks a million to everyone for your fantastic support over the last few weeks as over €100,000 has been raised so far! The following events will take place during the week. The Erris Pony Club will be running sponsored rides on Sunday July 27 and there will also be a sponsored climb of Croagh Patrick on the same day. On Wednesday July 30 a 25 card game will take place in the Turlough Community Centre, Castlebar and a Tea Day will be held at the Irish Wheelchair Association, Logmore, Belmullet, on Thursday July 31.
