Fundraisers in Shrule

35-year-old Gavin O'Hagan, son of Mayo woman Phil O'Hagan, nee Gibbons, originally from Shrule and who is now living in Dublin is undergoing treatment in San Diego for a brain tumour. His extended family in Shrule are trying to raise some of the necessary funds. There will be several fund-raising events over the next few weeks, kicking off with a coffee morning at 11am today (Friday July 20) hosted by Gavin's aunt, Bernadette Gibbons’ house in Shrule.

Having identified tourism as a growth area since entering government, Minister Ring said it was imperative that all Mayo’s towns work together to achieve the aim of making Mayo the walking capital of Ireland.
