Four Mayo groups get funding boost

Four Mayo community groups have been awarded funding totalling €19,000 under IPB Insurance’s Youth and Community Fund.

The funding is awarded to groups which support local communities, increase community participation, and promote social inclusion through their activities.

The BioPark is back in the news following Councillor Richard Finn’s proposal to have the site, where planning for the project was previously overturned by An Bord Pleanala, rezoned for ‘opportunity development’ to boost the project’s chances of getting the go ahead.
