This is to ensure that the hospital has the necessary capacity to deal with any increase in suspected and confirmed COVID 19 cases.

As with planned and proposed events nationwide, due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Patrick Cassidy’s Cantata, The Children of Lir, due to be performed by Blessington Millennium Choir at Holy Trinity Church, Westport on Saturday 25th April 2020, has been cancelled. The Children of Lir is Patrick’s highly acclaimed traditional musical interpretation of the legend of the Children of Lir, so firmly associated with Mayo.

Irish Travel Agents Association Welcome the DFA Move to Repatriate Irish Tourists in Spain

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) have welcomed the move by the Tánaiste Simon Coveney which has ensured Irish tourists currently in Spain and who want to fly home can do so by midnight Thursday. The Tanaiste engaged with his Spanish counterpart and with Aer Lingus and Ryanair to secure this.
