Draft Newport design goes on display
Six-week boil water notice for Achill coming into effect

Irish Water and Mayo County Council have advised customers supplied by the Achill Pubic Water Supply, including group water schemes, that a boil water notice for the duration of six weeks will be issued on the supply, starting from 9am on February 1, to accommodate the next phase of the planned works at the Achill Water Treatment Plant.

Mulranny playground plans moving along
Plans for the new playground in Mulranny is moving along the elected members of the West Mayo Municipal District were told at their January meeting which took place this week. The councillors were informed that a site for the playground had been donated by a local family and that the design works had been completed on the project, which has gone to tender. The site will now be leased to Mulranny Community Futures who will then be able to for funding for the project and that will come before the members for approval at their next meeting.
