Fri, Apr 29, 2011
As part of Alcohol Awareness Month, new research from Aviva Health Insurance has revealed that people in Mayo are spending nearly €1,900 per year on alcohol, with men spending significantly more than women, at €2,067 and €1,713 respectively. The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) recently launched a new housing initiative to promote the benefits and importance of registering for accessible, affordable, and social housing. The campaign, known as Operation Sign Up, was initiated in light of the triennial housing needs assessment which all town and county councils have been requested to carry out by the Department of Environment in March.
